BEFORE
The bed as I purchased it. The wood is not bad overall,
need to replace 8 boards, the remaining outside boards
I will sand down and finish.
Boards out, did some cleaning and sprayed it down with WD40
Now for a little Rustoleum paint
AFTER
I DECIDED TO REPLACE ALL OF THE BOARDS!
I LAID THE PLANKS, BUT FOUND THEY DID NOT LINE UP WELL AS THE GROOVES DID NOT ALLOW ME TO ADJUST THE SPACING.
I REMOVED THE PLANKS AND DECIDED TO SAND OUT THE GROOVE ALTOGETHER, MAKING A FLAT LOWERED LIP, GIVING ME THE ABILITY TO ADJUST/SLIDE THE PLANKS IN EITHER DIRECTION TO CORRECT SPACING, IT WORKED OUT WELL AS YOU CAN SEE BELOW.
